ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team announced its non-conference schedule on Wednesday. The Black Bears will host seven non-conference games, including one in Portland, Maine, and officially tip-off the 2026-27 season on Nov. 5 in Orono.

As part of the newly launched America East-MAAC Basketball Challenge, the Black Bears will open the season on Nov. 5 when they play host to Siena and conclude the Challenge with a visit to Merrimack on Nov. 8.

Maine returns to Orono for a four-game homestand beginning when it hosts Big Ten member Oregon on Friday, Nov. 13 and close the weekend with a Sunday contest on Nov. 15 against Brown at Skip Chappelle Court. The Black Bears close out the four-game homestand by hosting VCU on Nov. 19 and Penn on Nov. 22.

The Black Bears hit the road to compete on Nov. 27 and Nov. 28 in the 2026 Daytona Beach Classic. Maine's opponents for the two-day event will be announced at a later date.

Maine takes on its second Big Ten opponent of the season when it travels to meet Michigan State. The date for this game will be determined soon but will be played on either Dec. 23 or Dec. 3.

The Black Bears return to The Pit on Dec. 6 when they host Quinnipiac before meeting Fairfield at the Portland Expo on Dec. 9.

Maine rounds out its non-conference slate with trips to Rhode Island on Dec. 13 and George Washington on Dec. 21.

Game times will be announced at a later date.
