Rush Breaks School Record in Long Jump, Collins Medals in Day 1 of America East Championships

After Day 1 of the  America East Championships, the Maine men's track and field team sits in sixth place with 18 points.

Will Rush had a record-breaking performance in the long jump with a distance of 7.33 meters. Rush breaks Maine's record, as he placed third overall in the championship.

Charles Collins medaled in the 3000m steeplechase earning second place with a time of 8:56.99. Andrew Card placed first in the 400 Dash preliminary race. (48.02), while Carter Libby was fourth in the 1500 run preliminary race. (3:51.97)
