ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team dropped a 167-118 decision to New Hampshire in the Border Battle, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, on Friday evening at Wallace Pool.
Charlotte Hoover,
Laura Dube, and Rachel Silva each notched individual victories for Maine.
Hoover took top honors in the 100-yard butterfly at 58.91 and took third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.23.
Laura Dube posted a first place showing in the 200-IM with a top time of 2:17.63.
On the board, Silva swept the events posting a score of 237.90 in the 1-meter and a winning sore of 266.65 on the 3-meter board.
Maddie Ruppert was the runner-up on the 3-meter board (253.28) and came in third on the 1-meter with a score of 227.10.
Macy Organ notched a second place showing in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.07 and touched the wall third in the 200-fly at 2:09.88.
Nicole Harkins (200-yard freestyle - 1:58.48),
Amelia Obszarny (50-yard freestyle - 24.60),
Mia Poirier (100-yard freestyle - 54.28),
Eva Welsh (200-yard breaststroke - 2:23.62), and Ula Halley (200-yard IM - 2:20.33) each posted a silver medal showing in their respective events.

Elle Cadigan, and Hoover took the top honors in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:39.00.
Maine's team of
Emily Yorkievitz, Dube, Obszarny, and Hoover teamed up to take second in the 200-yard medley relay at 1:49.20.
The Black Bears return to action on Saturday when they host Providence in the Senior Meet at 11 a.m.
