Maine men's hockey unveils 2025-26 schedule

The 2025-26 slate will feature 17 games at Alfond Arena.

ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine men's ice hockey team announced its schedule for the 2025-26 season on Tuesday. The 34-game regular season slate includes 17 games at Alfond Arena and a return to the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.
 
Maine kicks things off in earnest with a two-game home series against Holy Cross, with the home opener set for Friday, Oct. 10 before the Black Bears and Crusaders close out the weekend on Saturday, Oct. 11. After a trip to the state of Connecticut for a pair of games at Quinnipiac (Oct. 17-18), Maine returns home to host another ECAC Hockey school in Colgate (Oct. 24-25).
 
Maine opens Hockey East play with a pair of home games against Boston University on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1. After a trip to UMass for a two-game set on Thursday, Nov. 6 and Friday, Nov. 7, Maine returns home to host Vermont for a two-game series (Nov. 14-15). The Black Bears close out November with two games at Boston College (Nov. 21-22).
 
The Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle with rival New Hampshire gets renewed at Alfond Arena on Dec. 5 and 6. Maine will play UMass Lowell on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland before closing out the semester in Orono against Lindenwood (Dec. 13-14).
 
To start the second half, Maine will travel to Denver for a two-game series against the Pioneers (Jan. 2-3). It's then Hockey East play for the remainder of the regular season. After two-game sets at Providence (Jan. 9-10) and UMass Lowell (Jan. 23-24), Maine will host Providence on the Jan. 31. Following a single game at Boston University (Feb. 6), Maine will return home for four games. After hosting UConn for two (Feb. 13-14), the Black Bears will host Merrimack in the final home series of the regular season (Feb. 20-21).
 
Maine closes out the regular season with a pair of road games against Northeastern (Feb. 27-28) before the regular season finale at Vermont (March 7).
 
The first round of the Hockey East Tournament is slated for Wednesday, March 11 and the quarterfinal round for Saturday, March 14, both at campus sites. The 2026 Hockey East Championship weekend will take place March 19-20 at TD Garden in Boston.
 
Flex Plans go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 19 while single game tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 26. More information on ticket on sale dates and processes will be released later this week.
