Boija tabbed New England All-Star

Boija was named an NEHWA Division I All-Star by the NEHWA.

ORONO, Maine – University of Maine men's ice hockey goaltender Albin Boija was honored by the New England Hockey Writers Association for his 2024-25 season, the organization announced this week. Boija was named an NEHWA Division I All-Star.
 
Boija, who was a Hockey East Second Team All-Star this season and 2025 Mike Richter Award Finalist, went 23-8-6 while posting a .928 save percentage and 1.82 goals against average. His goals against average ranks fifth overall in the country while his save percentage is tied for eighth-best and fourth among goaltenders with at least 30 games played. His four shutouts this season tie for fourth best in the country while his 23 wins rank fifth.
 
Since the start of the 2002-03 season, Boija is only the second Hockey East goaltender and just the 17th nation-wide to post a goals against average below 1.85 in their first 37 games played in a season.
