ORONO, Maine — The University of Maine swimming and diving program competed against Maine Maritime Academy at Wallace Pool on Saturday afternoon.
The team of Amelia Obszarny, Gabi Volpe, Isabelle Irani and Mia Poirier would open the afternoon winning the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:50.35.
Charlie Hoover would finish in first place with a time of 2:12.50 in the 200 Yard IM. Ula Haller would finish second with a time of 2:16.93.
In the 200 Yard Freestyle, Laura Dube would come out on top with a time of 1:59.56. Lydia Williams would finish second with a time of 1:59.63.
Amelia Obszarny would win the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:00.53. Isabelle Irani would finish with a time of 1:04.41.
Eva Welsh would come out on top in the 50 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 31.44. Elle Cadigan would be the runner up finishing with a time of 31.98.
Emily Yorkievitz would finish the 100 Yard Butterfly in first place with a time of 59.27. Macy Organ would also finish the event in under a minute with a time of 59.83.
Mia Poirier would tally her first singles win in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 25.18. Nikki Harkins would finish in second with a time of 25.99.
Ashley LeClaire would finish on top in the 1 meter Diving with a score of 254.25. Madelyn Ruppert would finish with a score of 240.38.
Elle Cadigan, Amelia Obezarny and Mia Poirier would all finish very close to each other in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Cadigan finished with a time of 54.16, Obszarny would finish at 54.22, and Poirier would finish at 54.76.
Bella Wilkinson would finish the 200 Yard Backstroke in first place with a time of 2:13.41. Amelia Habgood would finish in second with a time of 2:16.08.
Eva Welsh would win her second Breaststroke event, this time the 100 Yard event with a time of 1:08.01. Laura Dube would finish second with a time of 1:09.34.
With a time of 5:15.50, Nikki Harkins would finish first in the 500 Yard Freestyle. Lili Nelson would finish in second with a time of 5:18.93.
Emily Yorkievitz would finish in first in the 50 Yard Butterfly with a time of 26.96. Charlie Hoover would follow up Yorkievitz with a time of 27.01.
Madelyn Ruppert would finish the 3 meter Diving on top with a score of 264.45. Ashley LeClaire would finish second with a score of 243.23.
Eva Welsh would win her third event of the afternoon as she finished the 100 Yard IM with a time of 1:01.60. Elle Cadigan would finish second with a time of 1:02.84.
