ORONO, Maine - Luke Marsanskis of the University of Maine men's cross country program was named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic recipient, as announced by the organization on Thursday.

Marsanskis, a graduate student from Cumberland, Maine, is working on his Master's degree in Data Science and Engineering. Marsanskis, who was named to the America East All-Academic team earlier in the fall, posted a 3.64 grade point average for the fall semester.

Marsanskis put together an impressive season for the Black Bears. A season that saw back to back first place finishes at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup on Nov 2 and at the America East Cross Country Championships on Nov 15. Luke was then named a competitor at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Nov 23.
