ORONO, Maine - University of Maine track and field standout,
Mackenzie Wilson, who graduated in May, is set to participate in the Canadian Olympic Trials for the hammer throw event.
The 2024 Bell Track & Field Trials will take center stage at the Claude Robillard Sports Complex in Montreal between June 26 and 30.
The Bell Track & Field Trials will include national championships for Senior, U20, Para Athletics and Combined Events, serving as the selection trials for the Olympic and Paralympic track and field athletes representing Canada at the 2024 Games in Paris, France.
Wilson completed the 2023-24 season breaking the Maine school record in the hammer throw with a distance of 63.80 meters. The Lasalle, Ontario native made it to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, OR where she placed 20th overall. As a result of her top-24 finish in the country, Wilson was named an All-American Honorable Mention.
