Black Bears kicked off outdoor season at Raleigh Relays and UConn Dog Fight Invite

Orono, Maine - The University of Maine track and field teams opened up their outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays and UConn Dog Fight Invite this past weekend.

Raleigh Relays:

Luke Marsanskis set a new school record for the 10000m event by over a minute, as he checked in with a time of 28:56.90.
Alec Troxell ran the 10000m event as well, earning a time of 30:31.28 which checks in for fifth place all-time in the Maine record book.

UConn Dog Fight:

Cole Martin placed third in the 100m event with a time of 10.69. Martin also placed sixth in the 200m event.
Conner Michaud placed first in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.51.
Matt Firlings placed second in the 800m with a time of 1:57.96.
Adam Bendetson placed second in the 3000m with a time of 8:50.59.
Jonathan Prell came in third in shot put with a distance of 16.34m.
The men's 4x100 relay team consisting of Josh Sewell, Andrew Card, Conner Michaud, and Miles Gay placed first.
The men's 4x100 relay team consisting of Ben Cotton, Ralph Cruz, Cole Martin, and Rowan Carter placed third.
Marlee Yoder placed second in the 5000m run with a time of 18:12.83.
Mackenzie Wilson broke the school record in the hammer throw with a distance of 62.03m.
