ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine men's ice hockey team will be holding a Teddy Bear Toss at the first intermission of the Saturday, Dec. 7 home game against Stonehill at Alfond Arena.
 
Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears and other stuffed animals to the game to be thrown on the ice during the first intermission. The stuffed animals will be collected and donated to Bears That Care, an organization that helps provide stuffed animals for state law enforcement to provide children.
 
All stuffed animals must be new, and there will not be stuffed animals available for purchase for the Teddy Bear Toss at Alfond Arena.
 
Puck drop between the Black Bears and Skyhawks on Saturday, Dec. 7 is set for 2 p.m. at Alfond Arena.
