ORONO, Maine – Five different Black Bears scored as the #11/10 University of Maine men's ice hockey team topped Army, 5-0, in an exhibition game on Saturday afternoon at Alfond Arena.

An Oskar Komarov deflection late in the first period gave Maine a 1-0 lead heading into the first break.

The Black Bears then scored two goals in the first 65 seconds of the second for a 3-0 lead. After Taylor Makar roofed one from the right circle, Sully Scholle picked off a pass and finished from the slot. Anthony Calafiore and Owen Fowler both added goals in the final five minutes of the frame for a 5-0 lead after two.

Neither team scored in the third period.

Maine had the 44-8 lead in shots on goal.
The Black Bears were 0-for-5 on the power play while the Black Knights were 0-for-3.
Albin Boija made five saves in two periods of action while Patriks Berzins had three saves in the third period.

Oskar Komarov finished with one goal and one assist for two points while Thomas Pichette had two assists.
