Orono, Maine - Cheyenne Figueroa of the University of Maine women's track and field team earned America East's Women's Field Performer of the Week, America East announced Tuesday.

Senior, Cheyenne Figueroa took home gold in the weight throw at the Suffolk Relays over the weekend in the season-opening meet. Her throw of 64'11.25" (19.79m) not only broke the Maine school record but also ranked her 1st in the conference and the Northeast Region, as well as 5th in the NCAA.

Figueroa's personal record prior to the meet was 18.63 meters.
