Women's Track & Field register four victories in outdoor opener at UNH

Durham, N.H. -- The University of Maine women's track & field posted four individual victories and four top-10 marks in the outdoor season opener at New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.
Mackenzie Wilson won the hammer with a mark of 52.27m, good for sixth on Maine's all-time top 10 list. Julia Feid won the javelin event with a mark of 40.34m while Shanna Scribner placed second in the event at 39.30m, good for seventh on Maine's all-time top-10 list in the event.
Yasmen Farag won the pole vault, clearing 3.70m to move her into second on Maine's all-time top 10 list in the event, while Erica Magnuson won the discuss with a throw of 41.64m. Magnuson also found the podium in the hammer with a third place mark of 40.39m.
Tegan Morrison was the runner-up in the 400m with a time of 1:02.42 while Lydia Gilmore came home second in the 3000m with a final time of 10:36.86, good for fifth on Maine's all-time top-10 list in the event. Darcy Cochran finished second in the 100m hurdle at 15.07 and came home fourth in the 400m hurdle with a final time of of 1:13.54.
Oliviah Damboise added a runner-up finish in the triple jump at 10.98m while Paige Boudreau's throw of 11.82m in the shot put was good for second. Rebekah Hunnewell-Dunphe was the runner-up in the discuss at 36.97 while Elaina Panagakos finished third in the shot put at 11.74m.
Katherine Cowan was the runner-up in the high jump, clearing 1.62m, and placed fifth in the long jump at 5.35m. Ashley Martinez finished third in the high jump at 1.57m.
Jessica Kroushl took bronze in the 100m at 12.57 and placed fourth in the 200m at 26.70.
Maine added a pair of second place finishes in the relay events. The team of Gabriella Panagakos, Caitlin Sardelis, Erika Lawson, and Kelcie Horst finished second in the 4x100m relay at 53.95. Halle James, Morrison, Panagakos, and Anna Folley finished second in the 4x400m relay at 4:16.29.
