Storrs, Conn. -- Ashley Martinez took top honors in the high jump as the Black Bears finished ninth with 24 points at the UConn Northeast Challenge.

Martinez's mark of 1.70m, good for fourth on Maine's all-time top 10 list in the event, led her to gold in the high jump on day two of the UConn Northeast Challenge.

Maine added to its strong day in the field events with Mackenzie Wilson's fourth place finish in the hammer with a mark of 55.67m, placing her fourth in the event on Maine's all-time top 10 list.. Erica Magnuson added a 16th place finish in the event at 47.73m.

Jessica Kroushl placed 12th in the 100m with a time of 12.49 while Rebekah Hunnewell-Dunphe added a 12th place tally in the shot put at 12.28m, good for ninth on Maine's all-time top 10 list.. Elaina Panagakos finished 13th in the shot put at 12.15m, tying her for 10th on Maine's all-time top 10 list. Paige Bourdreau (14th - 12.13m) and Shanna Scribner (20th - 11.00m) added to Maine's top 20 places in the shot put.
