Men's Track & Field finish day one of UConn Northeast Challenge

Storrs, Conn. -- The University of Maine men's track & field program finished day one at the UConn Northeast Challenge with a pair of ninth place individual marks.
Isaiah Allen placed ninth in the javelin with a high mark of 59.05m. Zachary Beaton stands in ninth in the decathlon after five events. Beaton placed sixth in both the high jump (1.84m) and the 400m (51.03), finished seven in the long jump (6.51m), eighth in the 100m (11.35), and 13th in the shot put (9.84m).
Nathan Holst-Grubbe led Maine in the discuss with a mark of 42.93m, good for 15th place. Sebastian Osborne placed 17th in the event at 41.94m while Cameron Hughes came home 25th with a throw of 38.45m.
