Women's Track and Field Grab Eighth at America East Indoor Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Maine women's track and field team took eighth place with 39 points at the 2020 America East Indoor Championships.
Cassidy Hill had a very strong showing at the competition, placing fourth in the 200m sprint (24.71) and fifth in the 400m sprint (55.11).
Ashley Martinez placed fourth in the high jump with a 1.65m jump. Anna Schumann finished with tied for the highest placement on the weekend for the Black Bears on the women's side. She grabbed second place in the triple jump with an impressive 12.14m jump.
Sarah Vanacore placed seventh in the shot-put event, throwing a 12.35m throw.
The women will next compete at the ECAC at Boston University on March 6-8 to conclude the Indoor Track and Field season.
