WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Hockey East announced Monday that University of Maine sophomore goaltender
Jeremy Swayman has been named the league's Defensive Player of the Week after he recorded 79 total saves for the Black Bears against Hockey East rival Boston University.
The Anchorage, Alaska native tallied 39 saves in the Friday night contest in Boston, while he stopped 40 shots and allowed only one goal in Maine's 3-1 win Saturday night. This is Swayman's first conference award of the 2018-19 season.
The Black Bears will host the Quinnipiac University Bobcats this Friday and Saturday night, November 23rd/24th. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm Friday and 7:30 Saturday.
