VESTAL, N.Y. -- The University of Maine women's basketball team (25-7) takes on Stony Brook (17-13) in America East semifinal action on Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. live on ESPN3.

ALL-TIME SERIES NOTES VS. STONY BROOK:
Maine and Stony Brook have met 34 times with the all-time series knotted at 17-17. The Black Bears have won four-straight, including a most recent 60-43 victory for the Black Bears in Stony Brook. In that win, Sigi Koizar poured in a game-high 30 points while the Black Bears produced one of their best shooting days of the year, putting on a second half clinic shooting 64.0 percent and finished at 52.0 percent. Maine and Stony Brook first met in 2001 where the Seawolves took the victory, 68-57. Maine's win at Stony Brook last year snapped a three-game losing skid to the Seawolves. Wood has posted double-digits in six of her eight games against Stony Brook and enters averaging 12.5 points and 8.5 rebounds against the Seawolves. Koizar has tallied 20 or more points in three of her six outings against Stony Brook and is averaging 15.3 ppg in the series.
MAINE VS. STONY BROOK IN TOURNAMENT PLAY:
The Black Bears are 1-2 all-time in the postseason against Stony Brook, with all of those games coming in the first round. Maine won the most recent meeting 49-43 in 2012. Stony Brook captured the first two postseason meetings, taking the 2011 opening round tilt, 76-55, and winning the first championship contest between the teams back in 2008, 64-58.
