Logan Fullmer Pitches Nine Innings, as Maine Baseball Drops Third Game of Series Against Binghamton in 12 Innings

ORONO, Maine -- Maine baseball fell to the Binghamton Bearcats in 12 innings Sunday 2-0 at Mahaney Diamond. Logan Fullmer received his first start of the season and set a career high with nine innings pitched along with ten strikeouts and only allowing three hits.
Maine (5-18) was held to five hits on the day as Binghamton (7-14) had Jake Wloczewski start on the mound and he went seven innings, allowing two hits and no runs while striking out one.
Caleb Kerbs led Maine hitters with two hits on the day.
In the top of the twelfth, with runners on first and second, Binghamton's Paul Rufo layed down a sacrifice bunt. An errant throw into right field scored one run to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead. The next batter, Chris McGee, also executed a sacrifice bunt that scored one more run to give Binghamton a 2-0 advantage.
Maine's Tyler Schwanz had the lone hit in the bottom of the twelfth as Maine was shut down.
Rob Hardy (1-2) earned the win for the Bearcats, he pitched five innings in relief, giving up three hits and no runs. John Arel (0-4) received the loss.
The Black Bears return to action on April 2 as they take on America East opponent, Stony Brook. Game one of the double header begins at 12:00 p.m.
