Record Breaking Day Two of NEICAAA Indoor Championships for Men's Indoor Track and Field

BOSTON, Mass. -- The University of Maine Men's indoor track and field team had a record breaking day two of the NEICAA indoor championships at the BU track and tennis center.
The Black Bears finished eighth overall with a total of 30 points.
Jake Leithiser placed first in the 800 meters with a time of 47.68. With that time, Leithiser set a school record that was previously set in 2008.
Tyler Martin finished third (1.99m/6' 6.25") and Assad Hicks placed eighth (1.94m/6' 4.25") in the high jump.
Jacob Johns placed eighth (4:12.31) and Levi Frye placed 11th (4:13.72) in the one mile run, which were both personal records and qualified each for the IC4A's.
The 4x400 meter relay team finished seventh with a time of 3:18.60, the team consisted of Michael Lucas, Jake Leithiser, Tucker Corbett and Tyler Martin.
Maine continues tomorrow at the NCAA Championship Qualifiers at Boston University.
