Baseball Announces Fall Game Schedule

For the first time in 5 fall seasons, the UMaine Baseball team will be playing fall games against outside competition. “We see value in getting the guys more reps against someone outside of our own team,” says Associate Head Coach Nick Derba. “The fall is a time for us as coaches to evaluate players and really work on things. This is the time for players to make mistakes so Coach Trimper and myself thought that it would be a good idea to put them in situations that may lead to these mistakes. There is less urgency in the fall to produce and more time to teach. When Spring comes it is time to win.” UMaine Baseball has scheduled three games versus outside competitions.
10/3/2015 v Husson University, 6:00 PM start @ Mansfield Stadium. This will be a battle for Bangor. Thanks to Dave Mansfield, Rob Saint Pierre and Jim Owens, UMaine baseball will be utilizing Mansfield stadium for this game along with practices throughout the fall.
