
Baseball's Kevin Stypulkowski Named America East Player of the Week

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine baseball catcher Kevin Stypulkowski (Lake Worth, Fla.) was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday. He led the Black Bears to a 3-0 week, sweeping an America East Conference series with Binghamton.
Stypulkowski hit .556 for the Black Bears in three games with four runs scored and six RBI. He had two doubles on the week and two home runs. Stypulkowski finished the week with a .636 on-base percentage and a 1.444 slugging percentage.
In Maine's 3-2 win over Binghamton in the second game on Friday, Stypulkowski drove home the game-tying run and then scored the game-winning run. He followed that up by going 2-for-3 on Saturday with two home runs and three RBI.
Stypulkowski and the Black Bears return to action when they travel to Boston College on Tuesday, May 12. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM.
