Sundquist Sets Third School Record at ECAC Championships

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University of Maine men's swim team finished its record-setting weekend at the ECAC Champinships on Sunday. Nicholas Sundquist (Windham, Maine) set his third school record of the weekend when he broke a 30-year-old school record in the 100-yard freestyle.
Sundquist swam a 46.13 in the 100-yard freestyle prelims. He finished 15th overall with a time of 46.68 in the finals.
Maine 400-yard freestyle relay team of Tim Edison (Westford, Mass.), Eric Gaulin (Northport, Maine), Sundquist and Matt England (Bangor, Maine) finished eighth in 3:08.34.
Matt England placed 12th in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:50.99. Connor Mayhew (Wateboro, Maine) finished 16th in the 200-yard backstoke, finishing in 1:52.77.
Ryan Fahey (Quincy, Mass.) and Peter Tirabassi (Lewiston, Maine) each competed in the 200-yard breaststroke . Fahey touched in 2:10.65, while Tirabassi had a time of 2:12.75
