Day One in the Books at America East Swimming and Diving Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. -- The University of Maine women's swimming and diving team competed at day one of the 2015 America East Championships on Thursday. The day featured a pair of relays along with one-meter diving.
Maine's 200-yard medley relay team of Amber Murray (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine), Naja Harvey (Orono, Minnesota), Emma Pontius (Portland, Maine) and Katerina Mosquera-Cardi (Montreal, Quebec) placed fifth with a time of 1:43.95, just missing the school record.
The 800-yard freestyle relay team of Chloe Adams (Davie, Fla.), Taylor Sharp (Burlington, Ontario), Antonia Ulici (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and Kailey Dowd (Mendon, Mass.) touched fifth as well with a time of 7:41.78.
Hayli Weitz (Long Beach, N.Y.) and Kayla Bousfield (Glenburn, Maine) both competed in the one-meter diving.
Session two beings on Friday at 10 AM with the 500 free, 200 IM and 50 free prelims.
