Black Bears Swim Teams Travel to Rhode Island Invitational

The University of Maine Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams traveled to URI this weekend to compete with 5 other women's teams and 4 other men's teams.
Maine was one of 5 other schools attending the invitational; Providence , Bryant, Holy Cross, Assumption College, and the host Rhode Island. The final standings were as follows:

2. Providence - 771

Men Team Rankings

The women's team, finishing fourth, placed in the middle of the pack for most of the events, winning one event from Victoria Kingston, who placed first in the Women's 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:08.50. Emma Blackdeer also contributed to the score finishing second in the Women's 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:24.10.
The Men's team, finishing second only missing first by about 9 points, placed first in several events, listed below:

Both teams are back in action at Bowdin College Dec 4th and 5th for the Maine State Meet.
