Womens Ice Hockey's Alyson Matteau Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine defender Alyson Matteau was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week today.

Matteau scored the game winner against Providence in overtime on Friday night that gave the Black Bears a 2-1 win. In her last game on Sunday against Vermont, Matteau was able to dish out two assists in a 4-2 loss.

Maine returns to action this Friday as they host Northeastern at 7:00 p.m.
