Women's Hockey Swept by BU

BOSTON, Massachusetts - The Black Bears kept it close all weekend but after beating the Black Bears 5-3 on Saturday, the Terriers bested the Black Bears 3-2 on Sunday.
Boston University got out to a big lead in Sunday afternoon's game, with a first period goal from Dakota Woodworth and a second period goal from Samantha Sutherland, giving BU a 2-0 lead through two periods.
Maine got the offense rolling 3:17 into the third with a goal from Audra Richards, assisted by Jessica Vallotton & Victoria Hummel. BU answered back on the power play 6 minutes later by Sara Lefort, giving BU the insurance goal 3-1.
Maine still fought back with another goal 13:44 into the third again from Audra Richards, this one assisted by Brooklyn Langlois and Victoria Hummel.
In net, Meghann Treacy stopped and impressive 41 of 44 shots but still gets the L and falls to a 5-8-0 record; for the Terriers Erin O'Neil stopped 29 of 31 to improve to 5-2-0.
The Black Bears return home this Sunday, Nov 22 at 2pm to face UConn.
