Meghann Treacy Earns Hockey East Weekly Honors

ORONO, Maine - University of Maine Women's Ice Hockey goaltender Meghann Treacy was awarded Women's Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for the week of October 19th to October 25th.

Treacy was in net last weekend when the Black Bears swept Brown in a weekend series. Treacy shut out the Brown Bears on Friday evening, stopping all 14 shots she faced. The following night she stopped 17 of 18 shots, bringing her weekend save percentage to .952.

The Black Bears are back in action this Friday, October 30th against Providence. Puck drops at the Alfond at 7pm.
