Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to New Hampshire

DURHAM, New Hampshire – The University of Maine women's swimming team fell to New Hampshire 176-99 on Friday afternoon in Durham, New Hampshire.
Naja Harvey (Orono, Minnesota) won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.31. She was third in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:23.15.
Abby Linn (Elkhart, Indiana) won the 200-yard IM in 2:21.94, while Cecelia McEachern (Ellsworth, Maine) was second in 2:24.91 and Meghan O'Neill (Frisco, Texas) third in 2:25.31.
Maine's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Harvey, Katerina Mosquera-Cardi (Montreal, Quebec), Chloe Adams (Davie, Florida) and Emily Borger (Air Force Base, Massachusetts) won in 3:42.10. Maine's team of Antonia Ulici (Winnipeg, Manitoba), Taylor Sharp (Burlington, Ontario), Tessa Lindsley (Bath, Maine) and Abby Parker (Topsham, Maine) was second in 3:44.91.
Maine's 200-yard medley relay team of Amber Murray (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) Naja Harvey, Emma Pontius (Portland, Maine) and Katerina Mosquera-Cardi paced second with a time of 1:49.06. The team of Taylor Sharp Linn, Victoria Kingston (Brantford, Ontario) and Borger finished third in 1:52.13.
Mosquera-Cardi was third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.93, while Borger was fourth in 25.34. Borger was third in the 100-yard freestyle in 54.50.
Pontius touched second in the 100-yard butterfly in 59.21, while Mosquera-Cardi was fourth in 59.72. Sharp placed third in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:10.03, while Kingston was fourth in 2:10.04.
Kailey Dowd (Mendon, Massachusetts) was third in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:14.39, while Sharp finished fourth in 5:19.78.
Maine now prepares for the America East Championships set for Feb. 12-15 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
