Sudquist and Adams Pace Maine's Swimming and Diving at URI Invitational

KINGSTON, Rhode Island --- The University of Maine swimming and diving teams competed in the Harold Anderson Invitational at the University of Rhode Island on Friday November 21st. Nicholas Sunquist (Windham, Maine), Matt England (Bangor, Maine), and Ryan Fahey (Quincy, Massachusetts) all earned a first and second place finish. On the women's side Chloe Adams (Davie, Florida) and Naja Harvey (Orono, Minnesota) each touched for third and fourth place finish.
Sundquist set a school record in the 200-yard IM with a first place finish at (1:53.91) followed by Cameron Dwyer (Orono, Maine) in second with a time of (1:59.84). England touched for a win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of (21.78). Sundquist and England, along with Eric Gaulin (Northport, Maine) and Kevin Clyne (Salem, Massachusetts), were also a part of the 200-yard free style relay at finished second at (1:26.89).
Fahey touched first in the 500-yard freestyle at (4:46.70) and was a part of the 400-yard medley relay with Connor Mayhew (Waterboro, Maine), Eric Gaulin, and Kevin Clyne who finished second with a time of (3:34.58). Lucas Adair, Peter Tirabassi, Cameron Dwyer, and Will Hoffman (Waterville, Maine) followed with a fourth place finish at (3:36.57).
For the women, Chloe Adams led the way by grabbing a third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of (5:05.63) and being a part of the 400-yard medley relay with Amber Murray (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine), Naja Harvey, and Emma Pontius (Portland, Maine) that placed fourth at (3:57.88).
Harvey teamed up again with Katerina Mosquera-Cardi (Montreal, Quebec), Emily Borger (Air Force Base, Massachusetts), and Tessa Lindsley (Bath, Maine) to nab a third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of (1:38.13).
Maine continues their road trip at the Harold Anderson Invitational on Saturday, November 22nd.
