Football's Benjamin Davis Receives National Honors

ORONO, Maine -- The honors continue to roll in for University of Maine freshman linebacker and special teams player Benjamin Davis (Harrington Park, N.J.) following his stellar special teams play in Maine's win over #8 Richmond. Davis has been named The Sports Network FCS National Co-Special Teams Player of the Week, the College Sporting News National Special Teams Player of the Week and was named the ECAC FCS Special Teamer of the Week.
Davis blocked a punt into the end zone and covered the loose ball for a touchdown and also recovered a fumble on a kick-off in Maine's 33-20 win over then #8 Richmond.
Maine continues CAA action as it looks for its third-straight win when it visits Elon, Saturday Nov. 15 at 3 p.m.
