Football Continues Action Saturday at Stony Brook

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team (2-3, 1-1 CAA) takes to the road looking for its second win in Colonial Athletic Association play when it takes on Stony Brook (2-4, 1-1 CAA) on Saturday evening at 7 PM live on the American Sports Network.

RADIO: The game will be broadcast throughout the state of Maine on the Black Bear Sports Network. Rich Kimball (play-by-play) and Bob Lucy (color) will handle the call of the game. Kimball and Lucy are in their 18th season of calling Black Bear football, and Saturday's game will be the 203rd Black Bear football game for the duo. Audio will also be available at GoBlackBears.com.

GAME STORYLINES:
- The University of Maine football team looks for its third straight win over Stony Brook when it travels to take on the Seawolves live on the American Sports Network Saturday at 7 PM from LaValle Stadium in Stony Brook, N.Y.
- Maine enters the contest 2-1 all-time against Stony Brook and winners of the last two meetings. The home team has won all three meetings in the series. Stony Brook won the inaugural meeting in 2007, 30-23 in double overtime before the Black Bears won the next two meetings by scores of 28-13 and 19-14.
- In the most recent meeting, Maine jumped out to a 13-0 lead at the half before a late 25-yd touchdown from Marcus Wasilewski to John Ebeling sealed the win.
- Stony Brook is coming off a 14-3 win at Towson in which it held the Tigers to 242-yards of total offense. The Seawolves have given up less than 13 points in four of their six contests and held UConn to 19 points in week two.
- On paper, the game proves to be a defensive battle as each team ranks in the top five in the majority of defensive categories. Stony Brook leads the nation in total defense and is tops in the league in points allowed, rushing yards allowed and passing yards allowed. Maine is third in the league in passing yards allowed and fifth in points allowed and total defense.
