Wilson Leads Women's Cross Country at UMass

AMERST, Mass. -- The University of Maine women's cross country team placed fifth at UMass on Saturday. Maine scored 147 points in the meet. Boston College won the meet with 21 points. The Eagles were followed by UConn with 55 points, Vermont with 61 points and UMass with 81 points. Amherst rounded out the scoring with 157 points.
Annabelle Wilson (Geelong, Australia) was Maine's top finisher with a time of 18:41.74. Carolyn Stocker (Westfield, Mass.) finished in a time of 18:56.42. She was followed by Rachel Wilkinson (18:57.49), Monique Boutin (19:14.69) and Shannon O'Neill (Milan, N.H.) who rounded out the scoring with a time of 19:52.98.
Maine next hosts New Hampshire on Friday, Sept 20 at 3 PM.
