ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's ice hockey team has established the Goal Light Fund pledge drive. By pledging to the Goal Light Fund, you can take pride knowing that you are making a difference in a young person's life by providing them the very best environment for them to compete in as a student-athlete. Your pledge today will have an immense impact on the program tomorrow.
The Black Bear Goal Light Fund is a pledge program that every Maine Hockey fan can get involved in. Its purpose is to raise money for women's hockey in order to provide a quality Division I experience for student-athletes. The fund offers each sponsor a great opportunity to be truly invested in the success of the program.
How does the Goal Light Fund work? Each sponsor pledges $1 or more. At season's end, they will add up all the goals Maine scored and tally the final donation. Fans are encouraged to download the pledge form to participate. If you wish to donate a flat rate insead, you may do so in any amount of $100.00 or more.
