Calbick and Black Earn All-Star Spots

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine baseball players Alex Calbick (Burnaby, British Columbia) and Troy Black (Mississauga, Ontario) have earned All-Star spots on their respective summer league teams. Calbick is playing for the Bellingham Bells of the West Coast League, while Black is playing for the Sanford Mainers of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Calbick, who is playing third base for the Bells, is hitting .394 with 14 runs scored and 14 RBI. His batting average is second best in the West Coast League. He has five doubles and a home run on the season. The all-star game is set for July 23 at Royal Atlantic Park in Victoria, British Columbia.
Black is playing second base for the Sanford Mainers. He has a .317 average with 13 runs scored and nine RBI. Black has a double on the season. The all-star game is set for July 21 at Robbie Mills Park in Laconia. N.H.
