McFetters Leads Women's Track at UMass

ORONO, Maine –Robyn McFetters (Barrington, R.I.) had a dominating performance in the hammer throw to lead the University of Maine women's track and field team at the UMass Pre-Conference Meet on Saturday.
McFetters won the hammer with a mark of 182-02, winning by over 20 feet. The mark easily qualifies for the ECAC Championships and ranks as a top-3 mark in school history.
Jaclyn Masters (Auburn, Maine) took fourth in the pole vault with a top-3 school mark of 11-07.75 while Katherine McGeoghan (Agawam, Mass.) was fourth in the high jump with 5-05.25.
Ashten Hackett (Auburn, Maine) won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.00 while Shannon O'Neil (Milan, N.H.) and Mary Fagan (Camden, Maine) took third and fourth in the 400 with times of 58.30 and 59.19, respectively.
Carolyn Stocker (Westfield, Mass.) won the 5,000 in a time of 17:57.26 and was followed in second by Annabelle Wilson (Newtown, Australia) with a time of 18:04.62.
The Maine women scored 71 points to take fifth. UMass won the meet with 164.50 points.
