Men's Track Performs Well at Wildcat Invitational

ORONO, Maine – James Reed (Garmisch, Germany) notched an IC4A-qualifying time to lead the University of Maine men's track and field team at the UNH Wildcat Invitational on Saturday.
Reed won the 110-meter hurdles easily in a time of 14.23, which qualifies for the IC4A Championships and was just off his school-record time of 14.19 set earlier this season.
Taylor Phillips won the steeplechase with a time of 9:31.65 while Brian Woodbury notched an IC4A-qualifying mark while winning the shot put with a distance of 51-10.50. Woodbury also took second in the discus with a mark of 138-10.
Alexander Parenteau won the javelin with a throw of 177-09 while Kyle St. Peter took second in the pole vault with 13-01.50.
Frank Del Duca placed second in the long jump with 21-10.00 with Trevor England taking second in the triple jump with 45-09.25.
The Maine men took second with 156 points. New Hampshire won the meet with 256 points.
