McFetters Smashes School Record to Lead Women's Track Against New Hampshire

ORONO, Maine – Robyn McFetters (Barrington, R.I.) smashed the school record in the weight throw to lead the University of Maine women's track and field team against New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.
McFetters threw 55-10.50, beating the previous mark of 55-00.00 set by Rebecca Even in 2009. The throw easily qualifies for the ECAC Championships and is the top throw in America East this season.
Jaclyn Masters (Auburn, Maine) notched the second-best pole vault in school history with 12-01.50, which qualifies for the ECAC Championships and won the event. Teammate Angelica Nelligan-Smith (Glenburn, Maine) took second in the event with 11-01.75, which is a top-5 school mark.
Ashten Hackett (Auburn, Maine) won the triple jump with a mark of 35-10.75 while Carolyn Stocker (Westfield, Mass.) won the mile in a time of 5:27.15. Lauren Conner (Townsend, Mass.) took second with a time of 5:29.45.
Allison Fereshetian (Turner, Maine) won the 55-meter hurdles in an ECAC-qualifying and top-3 school time of 8.24.
Shannon O'Neil (Milan, N.H.) won the 400 meters in a time of 59.36 while Ashton Weiler (Rockaway, N.J.) won the 800 in a time of 2:21.58. Rachel Wilkinson (South Portland, Maine) was second with a time of 2:21.94.
The 4X400 relay of Mary Fagan (Camden, Maine), Jessica McCarthy (Burlington, Mass.), Lauren Roush (Hinsdale, Ill.) and O'Neil won in a time of 4:05.66.
The Black Bears won the meet 80-70.
