Coach Cosgrove Named Finalist for Eddie Robinson FCS Coach of the Year Award

27th Annual Eddie Robinson Award Nominees
ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine head coach Jack Cosgrove has been named one of 20 finalists for the 27th annual Eddie Robinson FCS Coach of the Year award, as announced on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Following a preseason in which the Black Bears were selected eighth in the Colonial Athletic Association football preseason poll, Coach Cosgrove has guided Maine to its best start in history. The fourth-ranked Black Bears are 10-1 and 7-0 in league play.
Maine has outright wrapped up the CAA title for the first time in school-history and have cliniched the league's automatic playoff bid.
Along the way, Maine defeated Massachusetts for its second ever FBS victory. The win at UMass was the 500th in the career of the Black Bears.
Earlier this season, Coach Cosgrove picked up his 120th victory and currently stands at 121-119 in his career.
