Alex Calbick Gaining Off-Season Attention

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine baseball senior Alex Calbick (Burnaby, British Columbia) has been receiving a lot of off-season attention recently. Calbick was named one of the top prospects in the West Coast Summer League and also was ranked by College Baseball Daily as the 100th best player in the country.
Calbick was ranked 12th on the top-40 prospects in the West Coast Summer League. He was named most valuable player of the Bellingham Bells this past summer. He hit a league-best .384 with 13 doubles, five home runs and 26 RBI in 46 games. He was named to the Perfect Game's All-American First Team for summer college leagues.
