Progress Being Made on Mitchell Batting Pavilion

ORONO, Maine -- There is great progress being made on the Paul J. Mitchell Batting Pavilion at the University of Maine. Construction started on the project during the end of May and is expected to be completed for a dedication ceremony on August 21, 2012.

The Pavilion, generously funded by donors Stuart and Linda Price, Kevin Mahaney, Tom Savage and Paul Hanigan among others, is named after Paul Mitchell, who is the President and owner of the GHM Agency and is on the University of Maine System Board of Trustees.

The building will be situated next to the Mahaney Clubhouse and feature two indoor batting areas that can be utilized for UMaine's baseball and softball teams.
