Kara Capossela Named America East Diver of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- University of Maine junior diver Kara Capossela (Greenwich, Conn.) has been named this week's America East Diver of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. This is Capossela's second Diver of the Week award of the season.
Capossela helped pace the Black Bears to a fourth place finish at the URI Invitational as she won the three-meter dive with a score of 243.25 and took home second place in the one-meter event at 248.00. Capossela's score in the one-meter was the fourth-best conference score in that event this season. She also holds the second best three-meter dive score on the year.
Both swimming & diving squads return to the pool on Saturday, Dec. 8 when they travel to meet Bates at 1 PM.
