Former Black Bear Raheem Singleton Becomes First Alum to Make NBDL

ORONO, Maine -- Former University of Maine men's basketball standout Raheem Singleton has become the first Black Bear to make the NBDL, joining the Maine Red Claws.
Singleton played point guard for the Black Bears from 2010-12 and was consistently among the America East's top players in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio. He helped lead the team to some of the program's biggest wins, including Penn State, UMass and Rhode Island, as well as a third place finish in the conference during the 2010-11 season.
The Red Claws play in Portland, Maine, and are an affiliate of the Boston Celtics in the NBA.
