ORONO, Maine-- University of Maine head baseball coach Steve Trimper announced today that his program has received six National Letters of Intent for his 2013 recruiting class. This class will add both quality and depth to his already talented team.
"This class is a perfect example of what hard work and a solid reputation brings to Maine," said Trimper. " These young men will not only make our fans and administration proud of them on the field but they will exceed expectations in the classroom and in the community. We had some lofty goals going into the recruiting season, Coach Spaulding and Coach Cather exceeded those. We found the players we needed to strengthen our preserved weaknesses while ensuring we are protected from the draft and graduation in our already strong areas. This class will ensure we are able to compete for America East Championships and further for the next four years."
