Cole Picks Up Two More Weekly Awards

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine football standout Michael Cole has picked two more awards thanks to his five-sack performance at #15 Delaware on Saturday.
Cole, a junior defensive end from North Brunswick, N.J., was honored with the College Sports Journal/GameWornUniforms.com National Defensive Player of the Week awards as well as the New England Football Writers Gold Helmet award.
Cole finished the game at Delaware with nine tackles and a forced fumble to go with the five sacks as the Black Bears defeated the Blue Hens 26-3. He now has a nation-leading seven sacks on the year.
Maine travels to take on defending CAA Champion Towson on Saturday at 7 p.m.
