Harnais, Price-Leibenzeder Lead Maine Past Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Courtney Harnais (Braintree, Mass.) tallied the lone goal of the game as the University of Maine women's soccer team defeated Holy Cross 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Worcester, Mass. Maine improves to 2-1-1 on the season with the victory over the Crusaders.
The two teams played through a scoreless first half.
Maine tallied the lone goal of the game at 55:55. Kaitlyn MacIsaac (Bedford, Nova Scotia) had a long cross from the left side. Harnais was able to get her head on the ball and deposit it into the right corner of the net, beating Crusader keeper Carly McCabe.
Meagan Price-Leibenzeder (Surrey, British Columbia) did the rest, making four saves to preserve the shutout. She improves to 2-1-1 on the season. It was her second shutout of the campaign.
Holy Cross keeper Carly McCabe allow one goal in the game. She did not record a save. She falls to 0-1 on the season.
Maine returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 11 when it hosts Rhode Island at 12 noon at Alumni Field in Orono.
