
Women's Basketball First Practice Now at 6 pm on Sunday, Come Join Us!

ORONO, Maine -- Head Coach Richard Barron, his staff and all of the Black Bear women's basketball student-athletes are inviting the public to come take in their first official practice on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m in 'The Pit' inside Memorial Gymnasium.
Campus will be buzzing on Oct. 2 as fans are invited to come support the women's soccer team as it battles Boston University at 12 p.m. The men's ice hockey team is also in action as they take on New Brunswick from the newly renovated Alfond Arena live at 4 p.m. At 6p.m., the Univeristy of Maine women's basketball team invites fans, area coaches, players and all community members to join us at 'The Pit' for the first practice of the 2011-12 season. All attending will have the opportunity to speak with head coach Richard barron and his staff, meet with the team and be a part of the excitement that is the 2011-12 Women's Basketball season.
There will be a chance to sign up to be a "Ball Kid", learn more about our "Friend's Group", and gather more information about the UMaine Women's Basketball program.
