Baseball in Midst of Fall Schedule

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine baseball team is in the midst of its fall season. The Black Bears hold fall ball practices and exhibitions from Sept. 2 through Oct. 15. The student-athletes are working hard and looking good this fall, fresh off a NCAA Regional appearance in 2011.
The team will head to Old Orchard Beach for Scout Day on Saturday, Sept. 17. Twenty major league organizations are scheduled to watch a pro style workout, following by an doubleheader against the University of Southern Maine.
Maine will then play a doubleheader on Saturday, Sept. 24 against the Academy of Baseball Canada, a team from Quebec. The games will begin at 1:00 PM at Mahaney Diamond in Orono.
Fans are encouraged to come out and check out the defending America East Champions as practice this fall.
