Join the Black Bears for the NCAA Selection Show

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine fans are encouraged to watch the 2011 NCAA Baseball Selection Show with the team, coaches and staff on Monday at 12:00. The team will gather at the Sea Dog on Front Street in Bangor to watch the selection show, which will air on ESPN at 12:30 PM.
During the NCAA Selection Show, the Black Bears will find out where they will travel for the 2011 NCAA Regionals. Maine earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning the 2011 America East Title with a 10-1 win over Albany on Friday afternoon.
It is the 16th time in Maine history that the Black Bears will head to a NCAA Regional. Maine last played in the regionals during the 2006 season when they traveled to the University of North Carolina. The previous year, Maine traveled to Ole Miss.
Maine is 32-22 on the season. The Black Bears have won 17 of 18 games dating back to April 30. The Black Bears are led by pitcher Keith Bilodeau (Bourne, Mass.) who is 10-2 on the season with a 2.87 ERA. He leads the team in innings pitched with 84.2 and in strikeouts with 77. His 10 wins are tied for the school record for wins in a season. Justin Leisenheimer (Middle Village, N,Y.) is hitting .327 with 33 runs scored and 25 RBI. He leads the team with eight home runs. Joey Martin (Portland, Maine) is batting .325 with 33 runs scored and a team-high 44 RBI. He has stolen 17 bases on the season.
