Diver Tim Smith Named to America East All-Conference Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- University of Maine standout freshman diver Tim Smith (Bangor, Maine) has been honored as an America East All-Conference member, as announced by the conference. Smith was stellar for the Black Bears on the diving boards all season long as he was a four-time America East Male Diver of the Week award winner.
Smith had a solid showing at the 2011 America East Championships as he placed third in the one-meter dive with a final score of 505.50 and was fourth in the three-meter event, scoring in at 472.90 total points.
Smith's top dive of the year in the one-meter event came on Jan. 15 in a meet against Providence in which he scored 279.23. Smith's highest scoring three-meter dive of the year came when he scored 273.45 points against Bates College on Dec. 11.
